Development Update
This game doesn't have a large audience, I know, but for anyone who finds it and sees the roadmap--I want to let y'all know what's going on with this game.
After having taken some time to evaluate where the game is at, and while in development of the next beta version, I decided to do an all-around overhaul of everything in this game. Except the title font. We're talking sprites, dialogue systems, gameplay mechanics, tilesets, music, story, everything--it's all going to be revitalized. I took a look at the game from an objective standpoint and tried to highlight areas of major significance to focus on, which ended up being nearly everything; in the past, I would have seen this as a reason to quit development. However, this game happens to be a concept I'm fond of, in a world that I've spend a lot of time creating, so I want to see it through to the end. That being said, the next update is quite a ways away--I want to make sure it's worthy of release before it is. But don't worry; there's lots of good improvements to come.
I am also considering development on a sequel to this game, which would be a GBA exclusive title and would have its own custom engine running on Butano...but that's far, far in the future.
