Twilight Expedition - Public Alpha Playtest

Become an archaeologist in this exciting top-down GameBoy Color action-adventure RPG inspired by all your favorites!

Some playtesters have been confused by the Ex and Ankh counters; I didn't do a good enough job of explaining that in-game, so here it is:

• Experience (Ex) is gained by defeating creatures and doing "archaeological" stuff--breaking pots, examining ruins, etc. That experience is then "used" in combat as your ammunition; without enough Ex, you can't fight! While this isn't necessarily a realistic mechanic I find that it improves the gameplay tenfold.
• Hitpoints (Ankh charms) are found throughout the world, and each represent one additional "hit" you can take from an enemy. Without any Ankhs, you'll die in a single hit! Ankhs do not regenerate once the charms are broken; you'll have to find another.

NEW IN ALPHA v0.24:

• Dungeon is complete
• Bugfixes
• Two critical bugfixes which caused a softlock
• Two graphical bugs and one audio bug which were annoying
• One bug which allowed you to skip the second half of the dungeon
• AI pathfinding error which could result in unbeatable dungeon rooms
• Slight difficulty changes
  • Player now has i-frames when jumping and attacking
• All story cutscenes!

  • Updated graphics for the boss intro
• Music
• Treasures in treasure chests
• Adjusted visual feedback for smart jump mechanic
• This is the authentic version of the demo

• Arrow keys -> Dpad
• Enter -> "Start" button
